Gordie and family, We are saddened to hear of your dad’s passing. He was such a wonderful person. Sonny would light up any room that he walked into. He was certainly a people person. He always had a smile on his face and a great laugh. He used to walk into seniors bingo with a chuckle and a little dance. He made the women feel so special and they enjoyed his company. The community of New Glasgow mourns with you, but Sonny will always have a special place in our hearts. May you find strength in family and friends as you face the days ahead. God Bless.

Dear Gordena and Family, Sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. You are in my thoughts at this time.

Dear Gordena and Family, I moved from Edmunston N.B. in 1962 when I was 11 years old to the Pier. My father became the minister of Trinty Church. In Edmunston, the only people different from us were the French Catholics but in the Pier there was a little bit of everything. People like like your father made me into a a better person, more accepting and respectful of all races. I used to hand out bulletins at the church door with your father and ring the church bell. He soon became one of my heroes. I also delivered the weekly paper "The Highlander" to your home and your father treated me same at your home as he did at church. Wish I could have been at the service. My wife Laurie Robertson Gunn also remembers your father with fondness. Please say hello to Bobby Gibson, he was a friend of ours growing up.
Love and prayers, Rev. Dan Gunn
