Chris passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Cumberland Reginal Care Centre, with his wife, Yvette and two of her sisters, Pam King and Lisa Rose by his side.
Christopher was born in North Sydney to the late Melvin and Doris White.
Chris is survived by his wife, Yvette; son, Christopher; special son, Chris Smith; stepdaughters, Holly and Nicole; siblings, Brenda Ketching (Wayne), Jim White (Brenda), Ann McCormick (Danny), Paula MacLellan (Donnie), Theresa Richard (Bruno), Reg White (Pat), Lori Hardy (Gord) and Martha Massia (John); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
Besides his parents, Chris was predeceased by his brother, Mel.
Chris liked to watch football games and enjoyed time with family. He would talk to anyone anywhere and had a knack when it came to talking to people. Chris loved to help people out and would stop and give people down on their luck money and or a meal. Chris loved children so if anybody feels the need to honour Chris’s memory by donating Chris’s wishes would be that it was to helping children.
Celebration of life for the late Christopher White will take place at Chris’s sister, Theresa’s home 147 Briarwood Drive, Eastern Passage from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Donations in memory of Chris may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
