91, North East Margaree, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012, in the Inverness Consolidated Hospital, with her husband of 69 years by her side.

Born at home on May 4, 1920, surrounded by the majestic mountains of the beautiful Big Interval, Inverness Co., Emma was the third daughter of the late Dan Willy and Jessie Murray.

Emma was actively involved in her community, including UCW and Seniors Citizens Club. She was well-known as a great cook and willingly shared her baked goodies, especially her caramel filling for homemade ice cream. Emma would never arrive for a visit empty handed. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, painting, and quilting. Emma’s nieces and nephews were like her own children, with interest she followed them closely. The courage and unwavering dedication to her family and friends will be profoundly missed, but so lovingly remembered.

Emma is survived by her husband, Everett Hart and many nieces and nephews.

Emma was predeceased by sisters, Delina Munro, Austen MacDonald and Josie Ingraham; and foster brother, Jimmy Graham.

Visitation for the late Emma Florence Hart will be held today, April 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Wilson United Church Hall, Margaree Centre. Funeral service to celebrate the life of Emma Florence Hart will be held on Sunday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m. in Wilson United Church with Norma Mills, DLM officiating.

Family flowers only, donations in memory of Emma may be made to a charity of your choice.

Those close to Emma, we the family would like to express our gratitude to the nurses, doctors and staff of Inverness Consolidated Hospital for their dedicated care. As well as a special thank you to all the home care workers for their patience and understanding.
