66, Whitney Pier
Helen Clarke, a life long resident of Whitney Pier passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (Snow) Ellis.
Helen was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and the Friendship Guild. She was also a member of the Steelworkers Pensioners Club and the Whitney Pier Seniors where she enjoyed her darts and shuffleboard.
Helen is survived by her husband, John; son, James (Michelle), daughter, Linda, and granddaughter, Faith Helen Clarke; brother, Wayne (Hazel); sister, Gwen Smith and good friend, Marie Bungay. She is also survived by one aunt, Ruby (Gerald) Skinner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no visitation as requested. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor the late Helen Clarke will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bob Lyle officiating. Light refreshments will be served following the service in the reception area. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Family flowers only, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to charity of your choice.
