It is with deep sadness that we regret to announce the passing of our beloved sister and aunt, Annabelle MacDonald, who passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Sydney, N.S., Annabelle was the daughter of the late David and Alice (Livingstone) MacDonald.

Annabelle had a strong faith and was a member of Holy Redeemer. She worked a few years at Keddy Hotel in the housekeeping department and at A&W. She enjoyed walking and was very dedicated to her family. She will always be remembered by her family as a quiet and easy going lady.
Annabelle is survived by her sister, Theresa Dalton, Sydney and sister-in-law, Anne MacDonald, Sydney. She also survived by several nieces, nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews and many cousins.

Besides her parents, Annabelle was predeceased by her sister, Evelyn MacLean and twin sisters, Mary Belle and Annie Jessie at infancy, brothers, Bernard and Rodrick MacDonald.

Visitation for the late Annabelle MacDonald will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Thursday, Jan. 6 from 9-10:30 a.m. Funeral mass to celebrate Annabelle’s life will be held Thursday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

Donations in Annabelle’s memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Building Fund.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
