It is with deep sadness that we regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Olga Irene Hrynick, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

 
Born in Mountain Grove, ON, Olga was the daughter of the late Ash and Mary (Hartwick) Godfrey.

Olga was a stay home mom who was devoted to her family.

Olga is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Hrynick; five loving children, Donna (Ross), ON, Billy Jr. (Helen), ON, Marie and Theresa, Sydney and Larry (Sandra), Sydney. She is also survived by her seven loving grandchildren, Joe, Whitehorse, Kimberly, Crystal, Larry Jr., Mallory, Billy, Nicholas, all from Sydney, and five great grandchildren. As well, she is survived by several brothers and sisters, all in Ontario.

Besides her parents, Olga was predeceased several by several brothers and sisters in Ontario and a granddaughter, Theresa.

Visitation and memorial service to honor the late Olga Hrynick will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Monday, July 5, 2010. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 12-1:30 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Fr. Roman Dusanowskyj officiating. Reception will be shared after the service.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Donations in Olga’s memory may be made to The Autism Society of Cape Breton or charity of one’s own choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
