It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Clyde Keeping, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Sydney, August 7, 1968, he was the son of the late William and Lucy (Fiander) Keeping.

Clyde was very artistic and finished his working career as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and entertaining family and friends. He was an avid golfer and loved playing hockey with his sons. Clyde will always be remembered as the kindest hearted loving man to his wife and children.

Surviving is his “light of his life”, Marilyn MacDonald-Keeping; daughter, Bethany; step-daughter, Stacy; sons, Jeffery, Derrick and Logan; step-son, Colby; sisters, Rebecca Lane, Edith Campbell, Bertha Wilson and Elizabeth Osmond; brothers, David, William, Ches, Walter and Allan as well as grandchildren, Holly, Talon, Colby and Josh. He is also survived by his best buds, Colin Beckwith, Wally MacDonald and Brian Whalean and his “Brudder from Mudder”, Ernie Redquest.

Clyde was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation for the late Clyde Keeping will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Road (entrance on Church St.) on Friday, Feb. 5 (today), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated at Anglican Parish of the Resurrection Church of Christ the King at 11a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 with Rev. Fred Rhymes officiating with reception to follow at Christ the King hall.
Interment will take place in Forest Haven at a later date.

Donations in Clyde’s memory may be made to support the family through the Gift of Love.
