We, the family of Lisanne Strickland regretfully announce her passing on April 22, 2009 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of Louis “Ted” and the late Eileen (Christie) Strickland.
She was a very generous person to all her friends. In the past she was employed at Victoria Haven Nursing Home and later worked for ServiCom Inc. Lisanne loved karaoke. She will be remembered as a loving, kind hearted person.
She is survived by her father, Ted Strickland; common-law spouse, Albert Gallant; three children, Joey, Jessica and Brandon; a brother, Edward (Teddy) and grandparents, Douglas and Mary Strickland. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, Eileen (March 12, 2009); sister, April; grandparents, Harold and Bernadette (Pentecost) Christie and grandfather, David Strickland.
Visitation for the late Lisanne Strickland will be at the Pier Community Funeral Home on Sunday April 26, 2009 from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be in the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Coole officiating. Internment will be at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.
Donations in Lisanne’s memory may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
