69, Whitney Pier
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we the family of Rosella Marie French announce her passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on February 3, 2009, surrounded by her loving family.
Born and living her life in Whitney Pier, Rosella was the loving daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary Agnes (Aucoin) French.
Rosella worked at Harshman’s Drug Store and Pollette’s Drug Store later retiring from The Pier Pharmasave.
Rosella touched the lives of so many people throughout her life. The people who knew her loved her for her kindness and thoughtfulness.
She will be dearly missed by her brother Bernie and his wife, Anne Marie of Sydney River. She was a loving Aunt to Bernie, Kingston, Ont., Donna (Steve) Quinn, Sydney Forks, Steven (Laura), Mississauga, Ont. and she will always have a place in their hearts. She will always be treasured by her grand nephews and niece, Christopher, Matthew, Brandon and Kylee. She will be sadly missed by her special friends Zita White and Florence Stewart.
Visitation for the late Rosella Marie French will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria road (entrance on Church Street) on Thursday, February 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebrate Rosella’s life will be held at Holy Redeemer Church on Friday, Feb 6 at 2 p.m. with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in the Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Memorial donations in Rosella’s memory may be made to Diabetes Association or Holy Redeemer Building Fund.
