1928-2009, Sydney

We, the family of Ralph E. Ross regretfully announce his passing on February 15, 2009 at home.

Born on Hardwood Hill, Ralph was the son of the late James and Annie (Brown) Ross.

Before retiring at an early age due to sickness, Ralph was a heavy equipment operator with Maritime Builders. Although he spent most of his life in Sydney, he spent a lot of time in Bay Roberts, Nfld.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Olga (Parsons) Ross, one daughter Glenice (Kevin Head) Sydney, two sons Bradley (Solonge) Sydney and Dereck (Geraldine) Nfld. Three grandchildren Mike (NB) and Bryden & Mason (Nfld) Also surviving are 2 sisters in Ontario, Verlie and Lillian and a brother Ronnie in Sydney.

Ralph was predeceased by sisters Emma, Laura and Rita and by brothers William, Cecil, Abe and Jim.

By request there will be no visitation and a private family funeral service has been held in the All Faith Chapel of the Pier Community Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Myers officiating. Interment will be in Hardwood Hill cemetery.
