Whitney Pier

We, the family regret to announce the sudden tragic passing of Jason Allan Aaron Corbett on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in River Ryan.

Born June 22, 1978, Jason, a true son of Whitney Pier, passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and deep devotion. Raised in ‘The Pier’, Jay was a ‘Jack of All Trades’ and a gifted mechanic who had a natural ability to fix anything he touched. When he wasn’t under a hood, he was likely enjoying a film; a walking encyclopedia of cinema, he knew every movie and every actor.

Jay was predeceased by his beloved parents, Celina and Mike Corbett and nephew, Christopher.

His life was defined by his family and his loyal circle of friends. He is survived by his siblings, Karen, Rocky, Mike, Trina, Dookie, Corrie, Michelle, and Jimmy. Michelle was truly “his person”—his confidante who he loved very much.

His greatest pride was his four beautiful children, daughters, Jessica, Dallas, and Aleah, and his son, Harley Corbett.

Jay was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles. He shared a particularly special bond with his nephew, Dawson ‘Billy’; the two shared countless laughs while out on the bike, a memory made even more colorful by their “purple purse” inside joke. He also leaves behind three dear friends who meant the world to him, Glenda Slade, Cebert Leudy, and Jody Miller.

Private family gathering has taken place with cremation to follow.

Celebration of life for the late Jason ‘Jay’ Corbett will be announced at a later date

Donations in memory of Jay may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
