 The family of Rose Norman regret to announce her passing on Monday, March 4, 2024, at home in Sydney.

Born on August 30, 1938, in Sydney, Rose was a daughter of the late Charlie and Annie (Gillis) Wall.

Rose worked at MacGillivray Guest Home for over 25 years, but her most beloved title was Mom to her three wonderful boys and the best momma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rose is survived by her husband, Buddy Norman; children, Todd, (Brenda), Lorne (Catherine) and Lee (Doreen); grandchildren, Samantha, Miranda (Tyler), Daniel (Alix), Andrew and Katelyn; great-grandchildren, Carlyn, Nolan and Archer; siblings, Buddy Wall, Geraldine Grant (Kenny), Lorraine McCormick, Tessie Snow, Dennis Wall and Bonita Calder; special sister-in-law, Madeline, (Fred) Tomie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, mom was predeceased by her grandson, Greg; siblings, Ervin Wall, Dolores MacLeod, and Cyril (Norma) Wall; in-laws, Lynn McLeod, Joe Snow, Alex Calder and Wick McCormick and sisters-in-law, Edie, Claire, and Mary Wall.

There will be no visitation or service at this time for the late Rose Norman. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

“Rose, you will be remembered for your huge, kind heart, love for your flower gardens and keeper of all things sweet, but most of all for your love to your family. We will cherish those memories forever.”

Lorne, Cathy, Bud and all the family. We are deeply sorry for your profound loss. Rose was a lovely lady. Rose was always happy to see us and we were always greeted with her warm smile. She was a shining example of a great mom and it was so apparent that her family meant everything. Lorne and Cathy you were so kind and caring and she loved being in your presence ..it was always so easy to see.
