Whitney Pier

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Evelyn, on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on January 22, 1956 in Sydney, Evelyn was the daughter of Theresa (Denittis) Williams and the late John MacDonald.

Besides her mother, Evelyn is survived by her husband, Tim Guyea; sons, Troy (Selena) and David; brothers, John (Cheryl), Wally (Earlene) and Colby (Denise); sisters, Marilyn (David), Kathy (Vince) and Susan (Rodger); grandchildren, Tamara, Dawson, Keagan, Cody, Breagh, Vincent, Makyla, Donavan and Sebrina; as well as many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Besides her father, Evelyn was predeceased by the father their boys, Donnie Wambolt.

Evelyn was an avid bingo player and she loved to sing karaoke with her close friends. She worked in Homecare services due to her passion caring for the elderly. Evelyn was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Evelyn Marie Guyea will be held at The Salvation Army Community Church on Inglis Street in Sydney on Monday, March 9, 2020. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. with Majors Corey and Charlene Vincent officiating. Light Refreshments will be served in the YP Hall following the service.
