Gatineau, QC
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Blair Stanley Dean, who left us far too soon at the age of 58, on August 19, 2025, in Gatineau, Quebec.
Blair was the son of Frances (Martell) and the late, Stanley Dean. He is survived by his son, David Dean, and siblings, Ann Mombourquette, and Kevin Dean (Diane). He was an uncle to Noelle, Cory (Taylor), Matthew (Brittany), and Sean, and a great uncle to Sophie, Amelia, Theo, Ava, and a new family addition due soon.
Blair was predeceased by his loving wife, Joanne Dean (nee Mineault); father, Stanley, and mother-in-law, Huguette Mineault.
Blair also leaves behind his extended Quebec family: father-in-law, Roger Mineault; brother-in-law, Patrick Mineault; and sister-in-law, Anick Mineault, along with many other relatives and friends from both Cape Breton and Quebec, all of whom will miss him deeply.
Blair was especially proud of his son, David and his chosen daughter, Alexia Billet. He was a dedicated employee of the City of Ottawa, where he took great pride in his work. Outside of work, Blair loved to cook, fish and care for his fur babies.
As per Blair’s wishes, there will be no service. A private, family burial will take place.
“Until we meet again”
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
