With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the passing of James Lorne Bennett, age 74, on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born on November 22, 1944 in Sydney, James was the son of the late John and Linda Ellen (Travis) Bennett.
James leaves behind his wife, Rita (Clarke) Bennett; children, Shauna, Lorne and Scott (Marcie); seven grandchildren and his extended family.
Donations in memory of James may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
