It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Pearson on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the QEII Hospital, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport, NS on October 7, 1934, Helen was the daughter of the late Dan and Annie (MacNeil) McCormick.

Helen was married for 54 years to John ‘Jackie’ Pearson and was known for her quick wit and a love of life. In her early years Helen enjoyed her mixed bowling league and loved a game of cards or bingo. She kept busy watching curling, baseball and golf, especially when Tiger Woods was playing. Her grandkids were an inspiration to her.

Helen Pearson is survived by her husband, Jackie; children, Carolyn (Russ Oehmen) and David (Jennifer Blanchard); sister, Frances (Ray MacIsaac) and grandchildren, Kenzie and Davis Pearson.

Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her son, John Adrian Pearson; brothers, Charles ‘Gibb’, Dan ‘Sander’ (Diane), and sister, Jean (Edward) MacDougall.

Memorial Mass for the late Helen Pearson will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Church on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Following the Mass, a reception will be held on the lower level of Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will take place in New Calvary Cemetery, Whitney Pier at a later date.
