We regret to announce the passing of Patricia Ann Moss on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Sydney, Patsy was the daughter of the late Hugh and Fredricka (Keesen) Phillips of East Broadway, Sydney.

Patsy loved camping. She was a straight shooter and never hid what was on her mind. Patsy will be remembered by family and friends for being very kind and thoughtful. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Allan; daughter, Jody Moss; granddaughters, Nicole and Rhea Moss; brothers, Junior (Patricia Martin), Wendell (Bip), Melvyn, Johnny and Glenn; sisters, Linda (Greg) Murphy, Honey (Danny) MacNeil, both of Hamilton, Bunny MacLean and Lyda Young; sister-in-law, Mary Phillips; aunt, Myrna, Ontario, and uncle, Elmer of Halifax. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Higney; brothers, Harry, Larry, Donnie, and sisters, Brenda and Weinie.

Visitation for the late Patricia ‘Patsy’ Ann Moss will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) today (Friday), July 13, 2018 from 7–9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating.

Following the Mass, light refreshments will be served at the funeral home reception area. Interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.

Donations in memory of Patsy may be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County, An Cala Palliative Care Unit.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I hope the Moss family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection, where death will be eliminated forever. Truly, what a glorious and almost unbelievable day that will be! It's a reality though for God cannot lie!
