It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Donald Francis Beaton, announce his sudden passing on Saturday May 12, 2018 in Baddeck. Born on July 17, 1954 in Baddeck, Donald was the son of the late Duncan Joseph and Elizabeth Frances (MacLellan) Beaton from Scotch Lake.
Donald was a member of St. Michael’s Parish, Baddeck and was a longtime member of Branch 53 Royal Canadian Legion, Baddeck. He worked many years as an employee of Victoria Farmer’s Co-op until his retirement. He will be remembered by family and friends for being a good story teller and jack of all trades.
Donald is survived by his children, Leonard (Brandi), Alberta, Stephanie (Shane), South Haven and Keith (Courtney), Alberta; sister, Diana, Baddeck; brother, Bobby (Barb), New Glasgow, and grandsons, Garrison, Ewan and Drew.
Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his wife, Alice Louise (Kelley) Beaton; brother, Jimmy, and sister, Anne Marie
Memorial service for the late Donald Francis Beaton will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, Baddeck. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery, Baddeck.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Poppy Fund RCL.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

To all Donald's family,so very sorry for your loss.May he rest in peace. He was so helpful to us during our recent flood,worked hard helping clean out all the apartment. Talked often about his children,so proud of them all.
