We, the family of the late Clyde Richard Mollons, regret to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Born in Sydney, Clyde was the son of the late Clarence and Esther Mollons.

Clyde was employed at Cape Breton Beverages for most of his working years and prior to that with the Department of Transportation. He enjoyed his outings to the legion and lunch dates with his special granddaughter.

Clyde is survived by his sons, Clarence and Clyde (Joanne); daughter-in-law, Myrna; sister, Betty; sister-in-law, Eleanor Mullins; grandchildren, Kyle (Sharon), Tyler (Carrol), Kaylee, Kayden, Maddy, Ashley, Michael, and Melinda; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Clyde was predeceased by the love of his life, Gertrude Mollons; son, Wayne; infant twin daughters, Diane and Debbie; brothers, Billy and Hayward (Adele); sister, Lillian (Jack) Flood, and brother-in-law, Joe.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Clyde Mollons will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Beth Hazelhurst officiating. Private family interment will take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney at a later date.
