It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wendy Marie Brookman on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Hospice Cape Breton, at the age of 48.
Born in Sydney, Wendy was the daughter of the late William ‘Billy’ and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Brookman.
Wendy is survived by her brother, Michael Scott Brookman, (Dorathy) and only child, Alexandra Brookman (Scott).
Wendy will be remembered for her love of music, spending time with her close friends and family as well as travelling to Annapolis valley to visit her best friend. Wendy was happy to hear the news of her soon to be born first granddaughter.
There will be no visitation or service at this time.
Wendy will be laid to rest with her belated mother, Betty in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Donations in memory of Wendy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
