September 22, 1934 – December 17, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Isabelle Marie MacNeil, formerly of South Bar on December 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Sydney, N.S., Belle was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hussey) Neville. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Joseph MacNeil in 1986 and more recently, her beloved sisters Alice Walsh and Mary Neville.

Belle is survived by her six children: Anne Marie Melnyk (Gregory), Elaine MacNeil (Ken), Brian MacNeil (Joanne), Michael MacNeil (Mary), Colleen Sinclair (Michael), and Janice MacMullin (Dean); her grandchildren Ryan, Michael Roy, Lauren, Kristen, Matthew, Hilary, Brennan, Kyla, Devin, Ian, Nathan, Nicole, Conor; step-grandchildren Craig and Colin; five great-grandchildren; her cousin John Coady; and nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Belle will be remembered for her deep love of her family and the pride she took in their accomplishments. She leaves a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

We would like to thank the staff of MacGillivary Guest Home for the compassion and kindness Mom received during her time there.

Cremation has occurred. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Redeemer Church, with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating, on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception at Pier Community Funeral Home.
