It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our sister, Sandra Lefort, at the age of 46. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on December 13, 2025.
Born on June 5, 1979, in Cheticamp, Sandra was the daughter of Rose Elizabelle LeFort and Johnny (Ruth) LeFort.
Sandra fought a hard battle with her health for most of her life and finally succumbed to diabetic complications. Her passions were her love for animals, politics, volunteering for several organization, Isabella, her great niece and caring for her mom.
Besides her parents, Sandra leaves behind her sisters, Lorraine, and Paula (Scott); niece, Candice Vickberg (Clay); great-niece, Isabella, and great-nephew, Alexander.
Sandra will now be joining her nephews, Christopher, and Donovan. She will always be missed and forever remembered and loved.
There will be no visitation or service for the late Sandra LeFort.
Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I am so very sorry to hear of Sandra’s passing. We met university many years ago, although we didn’t keep in close contact she left a huge imprint on me and I am forever grateful for her friendship
