It is with sadness that Cordell Miles announces the death of his father, Albert on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in North Sydney on June 2, 1944, Albert was the son of the late Abe and Anna Marie (Chisholm) Miles.
Albert was a respected and loved member of the Charlotte Street community, having worked at Ed’s Books and Spinners Men’s Wear.
Albert loved to fish, play darts, Tarbish, and was an active member of Club 55.
Besides his family, Albert will be missed by Lori Hutchison, and many close friends.
Albert was predeceased by his parents and beloved wife, Joyce (Jones) Miles.
Family gives much thanks to the VON, home care workers, and Dr. Steven MacDougall and the staff of the CBRH Palliative Care for the care given to Albert during his time of need.
Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Albert Miles will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Friday, September 12, 2025. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
