It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family of Vera LeMoine, announce her passing on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born on September 2, 1954, in Sydney, Vera was the daughter of the late Montford and Annie LeMoine.
Vera is survived by her siblings, Ann (Allan), Linda (Joe), Kim, Timmie (Rayanne), Phillip, and Wayne; daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Ripley, and Jasper; longtime partner, Gordie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her son, Arnold, and brother, Melvin.
Vera will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to her caregivers at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, where she was a resident.
There will be no visitation for the late Vera LeMoine. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 8, 2025, in Stella Maris Cemetery, Louisbourg with Rev. Sheldon Chant and Fr. Ikechukwu Alphonsus Iwuji officiating.
Donations in memory of Vera may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
