We are saddened to announce the passing of our mom, Marilyn Richardson on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
Born on July 11, 1958, in Sydney, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Gerald ‘Flint’ Richardson and the late Shirley (Hewak) MacDougall.
Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Glenn.
Marilyn leaves behind her girls, Lisa (Steve), Laurie (Matthew), and Andrea (Shaun); and her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Joshua, Mackenzie, Eli, and Owen; sister, Andrea (Michael Hunter); as well as a large extended family.
Details of any service will be shared with close family and friends at a future time.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I am so sad to hear of Marilyn’s passing. We are distantly related. Our Dads were cousins. I did get to know Marilyn better when we attended our nursing program together. We graduated in 1977. I moved to Alberta in 1981 and mostly lost track. But our mother’s were good friends and saw each other every week. Marilyn was a very nice lady. Very kind and know she will be missed. my condolences to her entire family.
