It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia ‘Trish’ Giusti, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her home in Sydney.
Born on September 16, 1965 in Sudbury, Ontario, Trish was the oldest daughter of Elizabeth (Farr) Giusti and the late Gerald Giusti.
Besides her mother, Trish is survived by her only daughter, Amanda Giusti (Dylan); companion, Ivan Giles and his children; brothers, George, Rick (Notaya) and Johnny (Evie); sisters, Paula (Jimmy) and Laura (Dave); her greatest passion in life, her 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, Cody and Jayce; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and great nieces and nephews.
Trish loved camping, going to the beach and playing cards and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Due to the COVID restrictions, the immediate family, will have a private memorial service to celebrate the life of Trish Giusti. This will take place at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Major Corey Vincent officiating. Interment will take place in Oakfield Cemetery, Marion Bridge in the spring.
Donations in memory of Trish may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

I was shocked to hear of Trish’s sudden passing. I was flooded with sadness and yet fond memories of when we grew up together on the Louisbourg highway. Hide n seek, building forts, birthday parties in our younger years to sea cadets in our teens and going to the Venice for some “pops”, even though not all of us were of age.
Even though we lose touch over the years, I’ve always considered you all friends, and were able to reconnect with social media.
