It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John David Conohan on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Scarborough Health Network, Scarborough, ON.
Born in Sydney, John David was the son of the late John Francis Sr. and Rachel (MacKenzie) Conohan.
John David is survived by his children, David, Sylvia and Lawrence; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Alphonse; sisters, Kay (John) Violande, Mary Jacobs, Rose (Basil) Kulczycki and extended family members.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his first wife, Betty O’Reily; second wife, Sandi Earl; brothers, Joe, Fred, Tom, John, Bill, Jim, George and Guy; sisters, Lena and Maureen.
By John’s request there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment will take place in New Calvary Cemetery, Whitney Pier.
Donations in memory of John may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
