It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Kosty, age 55, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ken passed on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at home in Sydney surrounded by his loving partner, Faye (Boudreau) Musgrave and his family.
Born on June 14, 1965 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Ken was the son of Diane (Mathison) Anderson and the late Barry Kosty.
Besides his partner and mother, Ken is survived by stepchildren, Chelsea Musgrave and Brandon Musgrave; children, Chris Kosty, Courtney Kosty, Andrew Kosty, David Kosty, Laurie Campbell, Tamara Roy and Dianna Kosty; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Karna Kosty, Jennifer Kosty and brothers, Tyler Arden and Norman Kosty.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the incredible staff at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, Palliative Care and the VON for their care of Ken in his time of need.
Memorial service to celebrate the life of Ken Kosty will be held in the All Faith Chapel, Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
Donations in memory of Ken may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
