Sydney

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence Stephen MacDonald on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born on July 25, 1966 in Sydney, Lawrence was the son of the late Bernie and Jean MacDonald.

Lawrence is survived by his pride and joy, Kimberley Stewart; best bud and son, Steven (Billy) Campbell; brothers, Bernie (Diane), David (Debbie), Moe and Walter (Anne Marie); sisters, Donna (John), Valerie (Tony) and Tina (Ray); brothers-in-law, Gerard Stewart and Ron Stewart Jr.; father-in-law, Ron Stewart Sr.; mother of his son, Mary Jo and godson, Spencer McNeil as well as lifetime friends, Kevin Bond, Marcel Cossette, Wayne Hines and Donnie Ferguson.

Besides his parents Lawrence is predeceased by brothers, Wayne, Robert and sisters, Margaret and Pauline

Lawrence, known as the car guy, could always be found tinkering with cars, be it in the garage, driveway or someone else’s yard. Steven would bring him a fifty dollars car and Lawrence could turn it into a million-dollar K-car for him.
