It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose Maksymiw at the Northside Community Guest Home, North Sydney on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the age of 90.
Born on May 19, 1929 in Whitney Pier, Rose was the daughter of the late Metro and Theodosia Maksymiw.
Rose was a quiet and kind person who had a special spot in her heart for animals. She was noted for feeding all the birds in the neighbourhood including the ducks and pheasants. She would have a special plate for baby and Joe the pig.
Rose is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is now with her family. Metro, Theodosia and her brothers, Steve and Bill.
I would like the thank the staff at the Northside Community Guest Home for their care and attention to Rose in her time of need.
As per Rose’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the SPCA in Sydney.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
Rose thought the world of me.
