Whitney Pier

Michael MacIsaac passed away on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, surrounded by family in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born on May 7, 1963 in Sydney, Michael was the son of Raymond and Frances ‘Fa’ (McCormick) MacIsaac.

Michael loved to listen to music and loved to play cards. He also enjoyed a good game of pool with family members.

Michael worked at the Horizon Achievement Centre for over 30 years, retiring this past February. In his younger years, Michael participated in the Special Olympics.

Besides his parents, Michael will be sadly missed by his siblings, Raylene (Brian) Webber, Dartmouth, and James, South Bar. Michael was a proud uncle to his niece and nephews, Stephanie, Jordan and Coady Webber, who will miss him dearly.

The family appreciates the quality and care provided to Michael at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
A Memorial Mass in memory of the late Michael Joseph MacIsaac will be at a later date.

Donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Horizon Achievement Centre – Building Fund or Holy Redeemer Building Fund.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

Our condolences to Ray and his family at this sad time in their lives. Michael was truly loved. Through the years, Ray never failed to share good and funny stories about Michael. as we all walked around the track. Ray would always say “He’s a keener.” God bless you all.
