With sadness we announce the passing of Moses Edward Walcott, 86, on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by family and friend.
Born in Sydney, Moses was the son of the late Laurena Best and Bree Walcott.
Moses enjoyed life and good company of other people. He will be remembered by family and friends for being a kind and gentle man.
Moses is survived by a brother, Oswald Herbert, Alberta; niece, Susan; nephew, Ozzie; cousin, Darlene; as well as other cousins and close friends.
Funeral graveside service to celebrate the life of Moses Walcott will be held on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at 1 p.m. in Eastmount Cemetery, Whitney Pier. Following the service a reception will take place at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier.
Donations in memory of Moses may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Breton – Whitney Pier.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
