It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the passing of our husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, Robert ‘Rob’ Anthony Jessome. Rob passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Some of the main projects included the Pier Heritage Trail, the cleanup and redevelopment of Trenton Works site, redevelopment of the former Bowater Mersey Paper Company and he oversaw the MV Miner cleanup site on Scatarie Island.

Rob considered all of his co-workers his friends. He was a member of the St. Alban’s Church and played an active role in the parish council. He loved the Montreal Canadien hockey team, especially when they beat Toronto. There was nothing more important to Rob than his family. He cherished every moment with them and had a special place in his heart for his memories of Red Islands and Johnstown.

Karen, Nicole and Danielle: I am currently out of the country and was shocked when I read of Rob's passing on Nicole's face book page. When I worked with Rob at the CBDC Carbogel plant I remember him as one of the nicest guys I ever worked with. It was a pleasure to continue to know him once he met and married you Karen. I totally enjoyed my Christmas time visits with your family. I'm sorry that distance and other circumstances ended that but you were always in my mind. My heart breaks for you. You and Rob will certainly be in my prayers.
