It is with heavy hearts, we share with relatives and friends the sudden passing of our dear brother and friend, Robert Edward Neville, 53, on Aug. 21, 2015, at Fort McMurray, Alta.

Born in Sydney, Robert was the son of the late Jim and Kay Neville.

Robbie was a member of Local 92 Laborers Union and served for many years as business agent. He worked out west and was last employed with voice construction with Suncor, who were very helpful during this very difficult time. Growing up in Sydney, Robbie was very active in sports having played hockey, baseball and had a love of harness racing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Robbie is survived by sons, Mark Sampson and Riley Hart. He is also survived by brothers, Neil (Ann Marie), Sydney, Mick (Diane), Toronto, and Chris (Katey), Sydney; sisters, Julie MacDonald, Alice Neville, both from Sydney, and Kelly (Brian) Skinner, Lantz; as well as many nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.

Besides his parents, Robbie was predeceased by his brothers, Billy, Tommy and a nephew, Glen MacDonald.

At Robbie’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Church, Whitney Pier. A reception will follow the mass at the Pier Community Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Eastmount Cemetery, Whitney Pier.

I would like to send my condolences to all of Roberts family and friend, I was so in disbelief when I heard a Rob's passing. Rob rented my basement suite from me in Kelowna B.C. for the half year. When I first met him I knew that he was a great guy, he was very happy and thought my place was great, so I am pleased to know that he liked living there. He will truly be missed by me and my daughter, Sharon who knew Rob and some of his friends. May he rest in complete peace.
