It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father and grandfather, Earl Robert Wells, who died at home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, N.S., on December 28, 1938, Earl was the son of the late John and Sidella (Warren) Wells.
Earl loved the outdoors especially, fishing and hunting. His pride and joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Earl will be remembered by his family and friends for being very loving and caring.
Earl is survived by his two daughters, Cecilia Gosse and Ann Marie Wells, both of Sydney; three sons, John (April) Wells, Earl Jr. (Jennifer) Wells, Sydney, and Robb Wells; loving companion, Shirley Romard; three grandsons, Darren, Lorway and Ryan Gosse; two granddaughter, Abigail and Kira; one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sisters, Bernice (Ray) Lumsden, Westmount, and Sheila King and a brother, Randolph (Joyce) Wells, Sydney.
Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by his sisters, Beulah Patterson, Thelma Higgins, Sally Hollahan and three brothers in infancy.
There will be no visitation or services as per Earl’s request. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Donations in memory of Earl may be made to charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
