I am deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Shannon Bridget McNabb, beloved daughter of Peter (Sandy) McNabb and the late Ann Marie Drohan-McNabb on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in Halifax, N.S., at the age of 41. Shannon will be dearly missed by her father and her many aunts, uncles and cousins on both the McNabb and Drohan side.
On the McNabb side, Shannon is survived by her uncle, Kent McNabb and aunts, Judy McDonald and Shirley (John) Ross. On the Drohan side, Shannon is survived by her uncles, Ray, Chuck, Jerry, and Terry and aunt, Patricia (Donnie) Miller. She is also survived by a number of cousins on both the MacNabb and Drohan family, Jacquie Ginnish, Dayle O’Neil, James Ross, Hannah Ross, Leslie McNabb-Kyritsis, Andrew, David, Jenna Pinhorn, Joanna Miller, Jessica Burke, Ashley, Tara MacPhee, Liam, Meagan, Emma and Ryan. Shannon’s closest cousin and biggest support in Halifax, was her cousin, James Ross. She also spoke on the phone with David Drohan on a regular basis. Shannon will be missed by all that knew her.
Shannon had proficiency as an artist, she loved animals and was saddened this year to lose her cat, Tigerlilly. She also had a rabbit called Duke. Shannon attended Christ Church in Halifax.
There will be no visitation for the late Shannon McNabb. Celebrating the life of Shannon will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Harbour Light Church, Sydney, with Rev. Rick Barnes officiating.
