Glace Bay

The family of Roy MacIntosh regret to announce his passing on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay, where he resided for the pass number of years.

Born on November 26, 1942, in Glace Bay, Roy was the son of the late Ambrose and Alice (Coffin) MacIntosh.

Roy is survived by his brothers, Bill, and Connie; sister, Peggy Kelland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by sisters, Marie MacCuish, Doris MacDonald, Tessie Morgan, and brothers, Dan, and John.

Roy loved to sing and write his own songs. He loved to go to the dances with his friends and danced all night right up until he got sick. He enjoyed a beer and watching hockey with his nephew, John Morgan.

There will be no visitation for the late Roy MacIntosh. A private family graveside service will be held in the spring of 2026 at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Glace Bay with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.

Donations in memory of Roy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
