It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of John ‘Tud’ Hennick at the age of 71. Tud passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Glace Bay Hospital, Glace Bay.

Born on August 23, 1952, in Sydney, Tud was the son of the late John and Marie (Breton) Hennick.

Tud was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and anything that required a wrench and had wheels. He loved music, family, friends and the wood stove.

Tud is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Donna (MacDonald) Hennick; sisters, Denise, Cindy, and Jean; brothers, Peter and Paul; sons, Chris (April) and Blair (Chessam) and four grandchildren, Logan, Ryder, Hunter and Sophia.

Besides his parents, Tud was predeceased by his first wife, Gloria and infant son, Troy.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will take place with the immediate family.

Donations in memory of Tud may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation or the Parkinson’s Society.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
