Marena was predeceased by her much-loved son, Roland Coish; parents, Julius and Florence Nodge; brother, Hugh Nodge; father and Mother-in-law, William and Louise Coish; brothers-in law and sisters in-law, Pearl McBride, Myrna Coish, Dorothy and Tom Williamson, Mildred and Murray Backman, Ruth and Carl Jorden, Shirley and Ron Lawless, Clarence and Theresa Coish, Edward Coish, James Coish, Donald Manzine, Walter Youden and Terry Babic.

Marena was a devoted wife and mother who assisted her husband in running a successful business out of their home for 50 years, while also raising her six children and eleven grandchildren. She was a Christian woman who had strong faith and for years had a missionary come to the house and teach the Gospel to her children as well as many neighbourhood children. She loved watching Dr. Charles Stanley on Sundays and listening to Gaither Hour on Friday nights. There was nothing she loved more than to have large family gatherings with good food and lots of laughs. She made the best Fudge! Marena showed much generosity to all around her, aways giving her time, love, and if you admired something she had, she would offer it to you without hesitation. She loved Christmas and always ensured her children and grandchildren received the presents they asked for just to see their smiles. Anything her children or grandchildren needed, she was there.

Marena looked forward to her regular weekly phone calls with her sisters, talking and laughing about the old days. She loved to participate in the many fun homemade videos, she had a wonderful sense of humour and never failed to make us laugh. She loved animals and our home was never without a family pet or two (or three). Marena was such an important fixture in our lives. If you knew her, you loved her. She will be missed every day, but we know that she has gone home to the Lord, and we will be together again one day.

Our gratitude and thanks to those professionals who showed such compassion and care towards Mom and family over the last few years, family doctor, Glen Worth and his staff; the doctors and nurses at CBRH ER dept; the doctors and nurses on 3B and 3A of the CBRH and the doctors and nurses of the Northside General Hospital, 4E dept.
