Sydney

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Frances Adelaide (MacGillvary) Pushie, age 94, on Monday, July 4, 2022, in Sydney.

Frances was the daughter of the late John and Alice MacGillvary of Gabarus.

Frances was an avid Bridge and card player (except on Sunday) and she was part of a Bridge club where she met many friends over 50 years. She loved to bake treats for her family, whether it was knotted rolls, Macaroni and cheese or molasses cookies, you never left the Pushie’s house hungry or empty handed.

Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Roy Pushie.

Frances is survived by son, Brent (wife, Jean), their children, Kim, Kelly, and Krista, great-grandchildren, Lexie, Brett, Devin and Parker, and great-great grandson, Zachary; son, Mark (wife, Sue), their children, Jennie, and Josh, great-grandchildren, Sophie and Mason; daughter, Judy (partner, Ross), children, Matthew and Keith; son, James (wife, Michelle), their children, Jacklyn and Jocelyn.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Miners Lane for their care and compassion that they showed to their mother during her stay.

There will be no visitation for the late Frances Pushie. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will take place later in the month.

Donations in memory of Frances may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
