With broken hearts we, the family of Francis Arthur Linden, are saddened to announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, in Dartmouth at the age of 56.

Born on September 5, 1965, in Sydney, Francis was the son of Beverly (Tomko) Linden and the late David Linden Sr.

Francis will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Francis moved to Ontario at a young age and lived there for over 20 years before moving back to Cape Breton in 2016 to re-connect with his family. In 2020, Francis moved to Antigonish to be with Sherry Lynn.

Francis was set to share his life with the love of his life, Sherry Lynn, who he planned to marry in September of 2022. Francis enjoyed their time together at the family cottage, where he loved to go fishing and play with their buddy, Milo.

Francis is survived by his mother, Beverly (Tomko) Linden; brother, David (Kim) Linden; sisters, Darlene Crawley and Mary (Glen) Linden; fiancé, Sherry Lynn Vasil, stepdaughters, Courtney and Lisa (Mike) and his fur baby, Milo. He is also survived by four nieces, two nephews, three great-nieces, three great-nephews, and Goddaughter, Brianna.

Besides his father, Francis was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Francis and Laura Linden, maternal grandparents, Peter and Mary Tomko, and brother-in-law, Scott Crawley.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Francis Linden will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Francis may be made to a charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
