Sydney

With heavy hearts we, the family announce the sudden passing of Audrey (Gray) Crysler on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at home.

Born in Gabarus on June 14, 1951, Audrey was the daughter to the late Eleanor and Joseph Gray.

Audrey will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kimberly Crysler; son, Carleton Crysler (Jessica); two grandchildren, Breton Crysler, and baby Karlena Crysler, all of Sydney; sisters, Myra Gray, Sydney, and Maureen Dixon (George), Truro; sister-in-law, Jeannette Gray, Osoyoos, BC; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Carleton ‘Satch’ Crysler and brother, Joseph Gray.

Audrey loved life. She made the best out of every situation and put her best foot forward. She enjoyed weekly bowling for many years. When the bowling lanes closed in Sydney, Audrey learned new skills of playing weekly darts. She loved her family, her dart family, and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation and memorial service to celebrate the life of Audrey Crysler will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Gabarus, at a later date.
