Sydney

It is with deep sadness that we, the family announce the peaceful passing of John Wayne MacDonald in the Cove Guest Home, Sydney, on Friday, January 28, at the age of 59.

Born in Sydney, John was the son to Gilbert (Debbie) MacDonald and the late Catherine (Les Sykes) MacDonald.

John was a loving father, hard worker, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed activities with the dogs, Rocky and Apollo. John loved playing darts, card games, coaching baseball, cooking, fishing, and life. He was the type of person who opened his doors to anyone who needed his help. He is survived by his brothers, Neil (Peggy), Carl (Betsy), Freeman (Rose), Michael and sisters, Sally (Steve) Shaffer, and Lisa. John also loved his grandchildren, Deshawn and Jayden. He had one special God daughter, Julianne Alleyne. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Besides his mother, John is predeceased by infant sister, Nancy and grandchild, Carter Alexander.
