It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Robert Thomas Stevens on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at home in Marion Bridge.
Born December 5, 1957 in Sydney, Robert was the son of the late Patrick and Theresa (Stanovie) Stevens.
In earlier years, Robert worked with North American, and Premiere Van lines as a mover. Robert enjoyed the outdoors. In his younger years, he loved to fish, and in his later years, enjoying riding his bike around Sydney.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Greg) MacDonald; sisters, Diane (Ken) Saunders and Marilyn (Cliff); brothers, Kevin and Martin, all of Sydney; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother, Patrick Stevens Jr., nephew, Kevin and niece, Melissa.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert Stevens will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church St.), Whitney Pier on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Kevin Head officiating. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Donations in memory of Robert can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.

My condolences to Robert’s family. Robert phoned my mother every Sunday and she so looked forward to his call. He also helped around the house while I was in Nova Scotia and I appreciated that.
