Angus, Ontario/Sydney

It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth ‘Bunnie’ Mary (MacEachern) Guillena, age 73, of Angus, Ontario, formerly of Sydney, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 17, 2019. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Clifford (Linda) Guillena, Timmins, ON, Darlene (Danny) MacIver, Angus, ON, Dianne Guillena, Sydney and Kevin (Donna) Guillena, Newmarket, ON; sisters, Linda (Allen) Desrosiers, Dominion, Heather (Donald) MacVicar, Upper Tantallon, and a brother, John (Debbie) McEachern, Hammonds Plains. Elizabeth will also be remembered fondly and sadly missed by many, including her grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Guillena, Darcy, Michael MacIver, Cindy (Richard) MacIver, Levi and Karie Guillena; as well as her brother-in-law, Joseph Guillena, and sister-in-law, Myrna Guillena.

Elizabeth was educated in Sydney at Holy Angels Convent and remained an avid reader and passionate learner throughout her entire life. Following the path God had chosen for her, she pursued all life’s challenges and tasks with grace, strength, and dignity. Her universal respect and compassion for her fellow human beings was the cornerstone of her character. Bunnie was immensely proud of her family, who she tirelessly supported at every turn. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched, and her legacy of love and perseverance will live on in our stories and beautiful memories.

She is our Mom, our Nana, Sister, Aunt and friend. She was an angel without wings but now she has her wings. Our angel is forever in our memories and watching over us from above.
