Cindy was born in Whitney Pier on June 6, 1942 to the late Albert and Gladys (Hefford) Grant.
Cindy will be sadly missed by daughter, Diane (Shannon) O’Brien and their children, Christopher (Alish), Connor and Liam, Halifax; son, David Hanna and his daughters, Stacey and Stephanie, both from Mississauga, Ontario; long-time partner, Ron White, Sydney; sisters, Eleanor Grant and Donna Lou Eddy, both from Sydney; brother, Gary Grant, Norwich, Ontario; father of her children, Billy Hanna; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her brother, John (Mary Lou) Grant.
Cindy was a stay at home Mom before returning to work at the Isle Royal Motel and continuing at Cape Breton Regional Hospital until her retirement.
