Stanley passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Sydney, Stanley was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Rzepa) Dziubek.  
 
Stanley was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Polish parish. He retired from working at the steel plant in the metallurgical lab. He loved music and played the accordion in local bands in his youth. Stanley had an avid interest in knowing how everything worked, from musical instruments to anything electronic or mechanical. He could fix anything.

Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by brother, Walter, nephew, Douglas and brothers in-law, Vince, Hugh and Alfred.

Stanley is survived by three sisters, Jeni Jackson, Rita MacDonald and Mary McMullin and brother, Joseph (Carol Stack).  He is also survived by nephews, Raymond, Vincent, Ron, Robert, Peter and Ted and nieces, Mary Paula and Jo-Ann.

 Visitation and funeral service to celebrate the life of Stanley ‘Stash’ Dziubek will be held at Pier Community Funeral Home, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Thursday, Mar. 5, 2015. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. with service to follow at 1 p.m. in the All Faith Chapel with Fr. Paul Murphy officiating. Light refreshments will be served in the reception area following the service. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

The family would like to extend a sincere and special thank you to the physicians and staff at the Palliative Care unit for the care given to Stanley during his time of need.
 
Donations in memory of Stanley may be made to St. Mary’s Polish Building Fund.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
