It is with deepest sympathy that I send my condolences to the Skeete Family. Melvin was a friend of mine and he did indeed love life. His heart was huge and this was evident with the work he did for the community and in his profession with Nova Tours. He was able to share his fishing stories with captive audiences of both community and visitors, and with family and friends wherever he went. My prayers and thoughts go out to his family during this time of sadness. He will be missed.
Sincerely, Tony Ince, Minister, Nova Scotia Communities, Culture and Heritage

I am very saddened to hear of Melvin's passing. We were all very close as kids and I will hold onto the fond memories of fun and laughter during our early days. I have had the blessing to be truly loved by my adopted Mom Olga as a young girl and be treated as one of her own, so I know how much he was loved by his family and how they will miss him. My thoughts and prayer are with you all during this time. Rest in peace Melvin. Love Denise (Niecy) Toussaint (Toronto)and the Toussaint Family
