67, Whitney Pier
It is with saddened hearts that we the family announce the passing of our dear sister, Delores Lovell Annamichl on Nov. 4, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Sydney, Delores was the daughter of the late Dorothy Pauline (Lovell) Sparling.
Delores loved the simple things in life. Her faith was strong, for she was a staunch member of St. Phillips African Orthodox Church. She was also a member of the Altar Guild and Vestry Board of St. Phillips. Delores loved music, for she was a member of The Inspirational Singers. She enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Delores will be remembered by her family and friends for being kind and loving. She will be missed by her members of the Red Hat Society, also known as the ‘Pier Dear Divas’.
Delores is survived by five siblings, Anthony (Ruth) Lovell, Manitoba, Martin (Donna) Lovell, Sydney, Margaret (Raymond) Hunt, Ontario, Vincent (Stacey) Sparling, Sydney, and Michael Sparling, Ontario; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, Delores was predeceased by her stepfather, Hugh Sparling, two brothers, David and Stephen Lovell, and an aunt, Lil Talbot.
Visitation for the late Delores Lovell Annamichl will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, Whitney Pier, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Friday, Nov. 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass to celebrate Delores’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Phillips African Orthodox Church with Archbishop Vincent Waterman officiating. Reception will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery, Sydney.
