71, Toronto/Whitney Pier

We were saddened by the news that Bobby had passed away peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 8, 2014, after a long struggle with poor health.

Born in Whitney Pier, Bobby was the son of the late Neil ‘Cubie’ and Mary Ellen (Dalton) Mombourquette.

Bobby will be remembered by many for his years with the Broadway Ramblers and his love of playing darts. He went to Toronto at a young age and it was there that he and his partner, Jean Scott raised their family.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Robert, Jerry and Malcolm; stepdaughter, Kathy Scott; grandchildren, Heather (Steve) Araujo, Lindsay Mcdermott, Cody, Auston, Brianna Mombourquette and several great-grandchildren. In Whitney Pier, he is survived by his sister, Dorothy (John) Murphy, and his brother, Tommy. Bobby is also survived by brothers, Wayne (Rose), Brantford, Ont., and Kippy (Trudy), Toronto, Ont., and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bobby was predeceased by his partner, Jean Scott, sister, Georgina and sister- in-law, Mary Theresa Mombourquette.

As per Bobby’s wishes, cremation has taken place and at a later date, the family will have a private graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.

Donations in memory of Bobby may be made to a charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
